Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the registration and use of debit and/or credit cards issued by Jet Bank Sh.a (the "Bank") in Apple Pay. By adding your card to Apple Pay, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. These Terms supplement your Cardholder Agreement with the Bank and, in case of inconsistency, shall prevail for the use of the card within Apple Pay.

DEFINITIONS

"Apple Pay" refers to the payment platform provided by Apple Distribution International, through which the User can register cards issued by Jet Bank, to make payments using Apple devices that are compatible with this application.

"Apple" refers to Apple Distribution International with registered office at Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Cork, Ireland, the provider of Apple Pay and other specific products and services.

"Bank or Jet Bank" refers to Jet Bank SH.A, a joint stock company registered in the Republic of Albania (registration number M519230131) with registered address at Sheshi Italia, Lake Park Central (Hotel Mak Albania), Building B3, 2nd Floor, Tirana, Albania.

"Card" refers to any active individual debit/credit card issued by Jet Bank that can be registered and used in Apple Pay to perform payment operations.

"Client or Cardholder" means the individual or entity to whom a valid debit or credit card has been issued by the Bank.

"Device" means a compatible Apple electronic device, including but not limited to iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac, that supports Apple Pay functionality.

"Token" means a unique digital identifier (Device Account Number) generated by the payment network and/or Apple Pay that replaces the actual card number for transactions conducted through Apple Pay.

"Push Notifications" mean notifications sent by the Bank in its mobile application, which are used for the purposes of verification, authentication and confirmation of actions related to the registration and use of the Card in Apple Pay.

"OTP (One-Time Password)" means a single-use numeric or alphanumeric code sent by the Bank to the Client's registered mobile phone number for the purpose of authentication and card verification.

"Authentication Methods" means the security mechanisms used to authorize transactions or access Apple Pay, including but not limited to Face ID, Touch ID, device passcode, OTP, or any other biometric or credential-based verification method supported by the Device or required by the Bank.

"Transaction" means any payment, authorization, refund, withdrawal, or other operation performed using a Card through Apple Pay.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General requirements

To use Apple Pay, you must be a Bank customer, hold an active debit and/or credit card, have a valid mobile phone number registered with the Bank, and use a compatible Apple device that you own or are legally authorized to use.

Registration and use of Cards issued by Jet Bank in Apple Pay

Cards may be registered in Apple Pay via the Bank's mobile banking application or Apple Wallet. During registration, card details may be required and verification is completed through push notifications/OTP sent by the Bank to your Mobile Application/phone number. Upon successful verification, a unique digital identifier (Token) is generated for each card and each device, replacing the actual card number for security purposes.

Use of Token via Apple Pay

Once registered, the card may be used for contactless, online, and in-app payments where Apple Pay is accepted. Transactions are treated as standard card transactions and are subject to the same limits, fees, and conditions. Transaction authorization is performed using device security features such as Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode.

Locking and deleting the Token

  1. Removing a Token from Apple Pay results in its deletion only from the specific Device on which it is stored. The blocking of the Card is carried out in accordance with the Bank's standard procedures.
  2. In case a Device is reported as lost, the Bank may take the necessary steps to identify the Cardholder and the associated Device.
  3. In the event of Device compromise or suspected unauthorized access, the Cardholder must promptly notify the Bank, after which the Bank will proceed with the removal of the relevant Token.
  4. If the Card is blocked, all Tokens linked to that Card will be automatically revoked across all Devices.

Security and Obligations of the Cardholder

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and credentials and must take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized use. In case of loss, theft, or suspected unauthorized use, you must immediately notify the Bank and request blocking or removal of the card from Apple Pay.

By using Apple Pay, you agree that necessary data may be shared with Apple, Mastercard, and authorized service providers for authentication, transaction processing, and fraud prevention purposes. The Bank does not store your full card number on the device and applies tokenization technology to protect your data.

Protection of personal data

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable Albanian data protection legislation, including Law No. 124/2024 "On Personal Data Protection", and where applicable, in line with the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The Bank is liable only to the extent required by law and is not responsible for the operation of Apple Pay, your device, or third-party services. No fee is charged by the Bank for Apple Pay usage; however, standard card fees may apply.

The Bank reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated through appropriate channels, including electronic communication or publication on the Banks website.

The Bank reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania.
